Generator to charge batteries on DEYE inverter

Hi guys,

Has anyone managed to get a 7kva petrol generator to charge the batteries on a deye inverter?

Generator is connected on the generator port on inverter,  the generator signal comes on and shows between 225 to 230v but doesn't supply power. 

Please advise?

    Had the firmware updated and generator is working fine on inverter now.

     

    Something makes me wonder.

    Why are there so many inverters not working correctly with the shipped firmware?

    Are they not tested before being shipped to SA or are even branded inverters DUMPED locally?
