Hi Guys,

We had a backup system with a growatt inverter and a pylontech battery.

We have recently installed solar panels and put the inverter in Solar or SBU modes. Since installing the panels, the system seems to trip either in the early morning or late evening with a low voltage error. I assume this is due to the panels' inability to provide enough power to run the loads.

I understand that the inverter is off-grid, so if the panels can't provide 100% of the load, it switches over to Eskom. I don't understand why the system is tripping.

Please can someone guide us on how to fix this issue?

Running on SBU means you can draw from the battery if the PV is not enough for the load. Only after some discharge should it switch to grid. Settings 12 and 13.

Not sure about your tripping as it should only switch off on battery cut out but you mention it is actually tripping.
