I have had solar panels installed and I have a prepayment smart meter. I am generating power but don't seem to be using any as it just seems to be generating more each day and I am still topping my meter up as usual.

 

Why is this happening?

It is quite difficult for people to be able to tell what is going on without more details as there are so many different possibilities. It sounds to me like your system might only be set up for load shedding back up and extra energy produced is not being used for the household.

Can you provide some pics of the inverter and battery setup and also any switches and distribution boards? This will help a lot in figuring out what you have and how it is set up.
