What to do with excess PV power

Featured Replies

Some good opinions above.

My usage priority:

  • Heat geyser from battery 04:00 - 05:00 (2kWh)

  • Charge battery from sunrise to about 10:00 (4 - 6kWh)

  • Heat geyser10:00 - 13:00 (6kWh)

  • Cooking and other household consumption throughout the day - (total PV from panels 14 - 18kWh per day)

My total PV capacity would be between 30 - 40kWh per day if I could make use of all the sunlight, but I'm not putting anything back into the grid - hence my idea to improve my comfort zone by installing some air conditioners... I suppose I could also make use of a sand battery, but that would require some serious DIY 😄
