I have maybe a stupid question, but does a Deye inverter have a protective film on its faceplate when still new. 
 

It looks like mine are peeling, and I am to scared to peel it of and damage it further.

    Yes they do.

    It took me a whole month to realise that the thin plastic film was still on the dsiplay. Ability read the display got seriously better once I removed it.
