Posted December 10, 20222 yr Looking for a 12V 1000W inverter that can pull a small fridge and Tv for the duration of loadshedding (around 4 hours). Have looked the mecer 1200VA MPPT version that can accept lithium batteries as well as the axpert 1.2kW. Any experience or recommendations regarding a fairly inexpensive solution that is still reliable

Any experience or recommendations regarding a fairly inexpensive solution that is still reliable The 1200VA Mecer should work but is very noisy. Also be careful as the brick type China inverters quote the size as the peak value and not the full time Watts. You need a 1000W full time unit. I assisted a friend on Friday and his 1000W would not start his fridge but my 1500W worked fine.
December 11, 20222 yr Author What inverter do you have or can then recommend? Would like to pair with a mecer 200ah or hubble s-200
December 11, 20222 yr Author The mecer i am looking at has the following specs: like i mentioned it should only be able to power a tv,one light and small hisense fridge. I dont think the fridge will pull to much power seeing that it will already be cool when loadshedding hit, only need to contain the temperature INVERTER MODEL – IVR-1200MPPT – 1.2 Kw max output / 1 Kw continuous 220 v Output 12 Volt Input MPPT Solar Controller Max 100 V Open Circuit – 15 – 80 V Solar Input 825 Watt Max solar input 55 amp max Solar input Selectable low battery cut-off voltage – 10 to 12 v – For longer Battery Life Simulated Sine Wave AC input and Solar input charges Battery Edited December 11, 20222 yr by schalkvstaden
