Hi everybody, I desperately need some advice. I have an 8kw sunsynk inverter and until 2 days ago have had no issues. Then since Monday afternoon the inverter no longer uses grid power and only solar. The AC indicator light does not light up either, however, when I switch off the mains then the AC indicator lights up for a fraction of a second and does the same when I put the mains on again.

I have not changed any settings and checked that they are the same as before. Totally baffled.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Check if there are any faults reported.

Check the grid parameter settings of the inverter. Might be that the grid has just deteriorated enough in your area that it falls outside of the inverter's specifications, and your inverter defaults to battery. Just a guess, might be well off.
