January 8, 20233 yr Based on Sunsynk's remote control/monitoring solution (Sunsynk Connect) there appears to be an option to integrate some sort of smart switch. I presume this will allow one to control a smart switch based on inverter parameters opening the way for some automation like switching off loads when battery SoC is low or switching a light on when mains fails to indicate grid down. I cannot find anything about this smart switch online. Does anyone know what hardware is used for the smart switch? It requires one to enter a serial number and key like one does when setting up a Sunsynk Gateway (Wifi dongle). Edited January 8, 20233 yr by Surge Improved post title
January 8, 20233 yr Yes at this moment in time it's only for the Philips Hue smart light. It can change colour accordingly to the Battery SoC. Good step in the right direction however, the top of pops priority list is CBI Astute smart switch controls. Hopefully they eventually lead to this end goal. But good step in a positive direction.
January 8, 20233 yr Author Thanks Steve. I'm glad Sunsynk are investing R&D in their Connect system opening the way for some home automation without needing to roll one's own solution. I managed to find a bit about the Smart Switch on one of Keith's recent Youtube clips. Evidently a Wifi enabled AC smart switch will be provided for free with all new Sunsynk inverters beginning around the March 2023 timeframe. I presume existing customers will be able to purchase them separately if they already have a Sunsynk inverter or require multiple smart switches. Edited January 8, 20233 yr by Surge grammar
April 25, 20233 yr Anyone heard anything further on this wireless AC smart switch from SunSync? Edited April 26, 20233 yr by Snapper typo
April 28, 20233 yr Shiza, I wish we could find more info on this alleged feature...starting to feel like vapourware! My installer ignoring my enquiries, FB posts completely ignored even though I tagged Herholdts & SunSynk...not a single comment yet if you post your installation installers posting like 100+ comments. Sigh. If anyone hears more, pleeeeze post here.
April 10, 20242 yr I just recently had the 5KW hybrid installed. I called SunSynk H/O. Apparently the Acc Switch is still in development (April 2024) and they don't have a timeline for when production might happen... So we wait.
