Folks - for those who have encountered this issue before it’s a relatively easy fix. The fuse is installed is a 63LET (tag fast acting device). I contacted Rectron and found out the unit was actually still in warranty and they would provide me with a replacement fuse - which was supplied  as a 100A unit. Unsure as to what caused the problem.

I am glad that you brought up the machine again, well done.

I must point out that this is supposed not be a user maintainable fuse, meaning an investigation needs at least to be carried out, but I yrust you had done an inspection eg. Checks for short circuit, damage components, wires, connector etc. And powering the unit up in battery mode only to check wether unit reports no errors etc.

Having said that, 9.5 out of the 10 times the unit only requires the new fuse and no trace or evidence of the previous surge or overload found.

Again, all is well that ends well.

Enjoy your Max. I have replaced my MKS3 last week with a refurbished MAX 7.2 and i just love it.

I have an issue with the inverter. It is operating for some friends and it mysteriously shuts down the moment the AC power disappears- instead of going into battery mode. When I test the transfer from mains to battery and vice Versa - it works fine. The problem is erratic and there are no telltale signs

any ideas?
