DieSkim
Hi I have recently gone solar and upgraded to a 8.8kw Sunsynk system. I am not sure if my old Powerstar IR 6000 inverter plus 4x 102Ah (12V) batteries (mostly dead) will be of use to anyone. It was used in a UPS setup and easily gave more than 4hours when we moved into the house. The inverter is working perfectly, batteries would need to be replaced (only gave about 40mins lately) It all comes in a metal container. Where do I sell these , or can anyone on this forum use this? McGuywer
Depending on location, I would be really interested in the inverter. Is there anyway to revive the batteries? I am really struggling with loadshedding and reducing power usage, so this would help a lot.

Be careful - UPS backup without solar will lead to an INCREASE in utility costs - it takes more energy to charge batteries, than it does to discharge. ie, 2 hour loadshedding at 500wh = 1000Wh consumed. To charge those batteries back to full will take more than the 1000wh consumed.
