It's my first time posting on the forum so not sure if I am posting in the correct place. I have just added 12 x 565 solar panels to my 5kw Deye inverter. The total wattage of the panels is 6780 watts. On the system work load screen on the inverter my max solar power is set to 5000W. Is this figure correct or should it match my total wattage of the panels. Not sure how to attach Pic. Any assistance will be appreciated. Thank you

Hi, I'm looking for some help with my solar and battery backup installation in Sandton (Johannesburg). I have a failure on the master battery (red light) and one other is not charging. Can anyone recommend a technical service support team/person/company to come to site and check if the problem is software/hardware/inverter and then recommend a solution. Thank you.

Hi I have recently gone solar and upgraded to a 8.8kw Sunsynk system. I am not sure if my old Powerstar IR 6000 inverter plus 4x 102Ah (12V) batteries (mostly dead) will be of use to anyone. It was used in a UPS setup and easily gave more than 4hours when we moved into the house. The inverter is working perfectly, batteries would need to be replaced (only gave about 40mins lately) It all comes in a metal container. Where do I sell these , or can anyone on this forum use this?

Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem if an RCT 1000VA UPS works in AC MODE only and does not work on battery mode even if I replace the two 12V 7.1AH batteries . I would be very grateful if someone has a service manual for the particular UPS .

Hi everyone, so I had the need to get daily, weekly and monthly solar statistics emailed to me but after requesting this directly from the Solar-Assistant team for months, I decided to create it myself. I have made it available to all if you can find the use for it and can be found here - https://github.com/Stef1986/email_scheduler_solar_assistant Once you have cloned the repo locally, you simply edit the .env file with your Solar Assistant's MQTT details as well as your reporting preferences and run the docker-compose up. Just have a look at the README.md, it should be detailed enough to get you going. As a quick overview, basically what will happen is on the host of …

Hi all. Looking for a knowledgeable person willing to go assist a feral Cat non-profit organisation near Centurion / Hennops River area on R511 road in Gauteng. They do fantastic work with no government assistance, relying on donations and volunteers. They have a Kodak / Voltronic inverter and 4 Lithium batteries and solar panels onsite, and were hoodwinked by a guy for months who promised lots and delivered little. Unsure of current status so if they could be assessed and fixed or installed please. The area is prone to cable theft and cell tower battery theft, so the lady founder needs assistance installing Dual SIM cards in mobile phones, to have vital internet access w…

Got tired of replacing Sealed Lead Acid batteries Decided to try Li-Fe on the trolley inverter with no lithium charging option. The REVOV 12v battery is supposedly a drop in replacement for lead acidand has a built in BMS you can monitor via bluetooth So far so good! Wish me, and the poor BMS luck🫣

Good day guys, I just want to know a few things. I am trying to help an elderly couple who bought a SunSynk but they installed a HOSELECT. Everything was "fly-by-night" type of work. Included is a drawing of the sytem that I am thinking doint to rectify the previous installer's.... There is currently no PV or Battery disconnect. The only thing concerning safety, is the installed changeover switch in the DB. Just a few questions; Is the HOSELECT HS-5500 5.5kW inverter legal/approved in Mossel Bay? It's not in the City of Cape Town's Approved Photovoltaic (PV) Inverter List. Is there anyway that I can connect the inveter, if it's legal and approved for…

For those that don't have the means to fork out cash, but have the time to input into getting a smart control system setup for the Axpert Series of inverters: Jblance Mpp-Solar (Github) has open source communications for the MPP-Solar inverters based on the Axpert units (tested working on Axpert MKS II (Mecer Sol-I-AX-5NB) You will need a raspberry pi or other linux box to connect to(you can use either serial out on inverter or USB out) Install your home assistant on the pi or other linux box that you use, along with the MPP-SOLAR programs from github, the install instructions are on the github repo. Once setup configure your mpp-solar to output your i…

Fan noise can be a problem, depending upon where your inverter is placed. In my case, it is in a utility space which happens to be near my wife's study. We recently took over a friend's 5kw Mecer inverter to replace our older 3kw Mecer inverter. My wife has hearing similar to a dog (please don't let her read this!) and she was bothered by a high pitched whine from the inverter fans. I experimented with lower charge rates which helped to some degree, but the whine was still there. This morning I took out the inverter and removed the 2 fans. I cleaned them, and then removed the sticker in the middle of each fan. I put 3 or 4 drops of sewing machine oil in each…
