Lithium BMS situation/advice

Featured Replies

Hi Gents.

I have a very interesting question for you today. Alright so I have a 3kw 24v inverter with a 24v lithium 2.4kw battery.

Today I noticed something interesting any advice would be appreciated.

I have attached two pictures one from December the 8th and one from today February the 10th. The SOC on my battery is something that worries me.

On Dec 8th my battery SOC is 36% at 26.1V at a 7Amp DC Draw.

On Feb 10th my battery SOC is 56% at 26V at 19Amp DC Draw.

What is your opinion on this uneasy feeling. Is it the load that had changed the SOC making the Voltage drop faster ? Is it the battery should I send it back to supplier. Cell voltages at 3258mV at 56% SOC.

I do apologize if images are bad quality.

It is purely due to the more than 2 times load. If you want to know if battery is still as new you need to charge to the same SOC and then rest the battery for a few hours and no load and then get a reading.

Not easy to do with the LS at the moment and little sun and lots of rain if you are in the Northern part of SA.
