February 23, 20233 yr Hi guys, I've done a few installs and have only 1, out of several installations issue. Long story short the system was working perfectly fine until the client started doing ironing on the system. The battery got drawn down and was struggling gain charge. We managed to source a li-ion charger and the battery shows full on charge. However connecting it back onto the system we getting error 19(battery disconnect) on the inverter. We've decided to take the battery in for a warranty check. Is there anything else I can check to ensure the system is still good. This was my very first growatt installation.
April 1, 20233 yr Hi, I’m diy’ing the same Growatt 5000es with a CFE5100s Li battery. Can you please assist with the communication cable setup? Do I reverse the rj45 wiring on either side or is it same for both ends Thanks Ayub
May 25, 20233 yr Haave the same setup. After 2 weeks I managed to get the Battery and Smart Bess (If ever there was a misnomer...), but getting the inverter to communicate with the battery is like the communication between me and my ex-wife... Edited May 25, 20233 yr by Antonf
August 20, 20232 yr I managed to get CFE5100s Li battery and Growatt 5000ES communicating here is the settings I used Protocol Type: Can _________________________________ CFE Switch settings(Switch off the battery before making these changes): SW1: 1&2 up SW4(CANL): 5up SW5(CANH): 4up ________________________________ Growatt setting 05: Li Growatt Setting 36: L52 Edited November 11, 20232 yr by Pala
November 11, 20232 yr Hi Ayub I'm using the same one as the one that comes with the battery. The one that came with the battery was too short for my set-up. for Growatt Setting 36: please try L52 instead of L51
