Overloading Inverter - what happens

Featured Replies

Hey all,

In regards to a 8KW Deye Inverter, what would happen during non-loading shedding when excess load is pulled.

e.g. total 10KW

  • Geyser 3kw
  • Aircon 2kw
  • Kettle 1kw
  • hairdryer 2kw
  • other 3kw

Would it bypass to make use of Eskom power or would something trip or would the house blow up :D

Thanks!

8kw can passthrough to UPS / Essentials up to 11kw while eskom is around. If there is LS then it will trip at 8kw. That trip is also battery dependent - if you only have 1 0.5C battery then you are limited to that as well

Awesome, thank you very much for that!!
