Inverter  has Com and BMS

We have put in the cable and the in verter just put out a error 61.

In meantime we have put the battery  settings on User for know. Does this effect anything.

New to the game and what  everything to run well.

When you say "the cable", is it a standard ethernet straight-through cable? That won't work, it needs to be a cable specialised for Axpert inverters at one end, and for your battery at the other end. At the inverter end, it needs to go into the BMS port.

But that all assumes that Rentech batteries are supported by Voltronic inverters, and that you choose the correct battery type in setting 05. You need to find out what brand the battery is (Rentech very likely put their name on a battery made by someone in China, perhaps Pylontech). Hopefully you have a manual, otherwise, post a picture of the battery and someone here can probably recognise it.

So there are a few ducks that need to be lined up in a row to get the warning code 61 to go away.
