May 11, 20233 yr Hi to everyone on this forum, I'm slowly investigating how to get into solar. So far I'm probably going with a 5Kw Sunsynk inverter and a 5.12Kwh Hubble AM-5 Battery. Panels maybe if I have any money. The idea being I can add another inverter and more batteries later. My question is regarding the component diagram of a setup. I've seen several online but they all seem to go through the inverter, where if the inverter fails and needs to go in for repairs it looks like your system will be down? Also I'd like to price all the extras that may be needed. Does anyone have a diagram for a hybrid system, with all the breakers/bypass switches and everything required for such a system? TIA, Robert On a sidenote we're converting our thatch house to a tiled thatch house, this will make installing solar panels a lot easier going forward.
May 12, 20233 yr Hallo! Welcome. You have a switch where you choose between Eskom and Inverter. That way you can “remove/bypass” your inverter if you cannot use it.
June 14, 20233 yr You need a change over switch which will make things simple. The switch allows you to select either your main or backup power in the event that something goes wrong.
