Power spikes on switch to inverter

Featured Replies

Morning....

I have a newly installed 5kw Luxpower tech inverter and Dyness lithium battery system.

When the inverter kicks in at load shedding, the fuses on my alarm transformer, CD player and AV Amp blow. Very irritating!

The installers have now fitted surge protection to the board both on the mains side and the inverter, but they have not solved the problem.

Anybody had a similar problem? Ideas? Best. DP.

Yes there is another thread on this topic:

It's most likely that the inverter is outputting DC, which will cause fuses in things with transformers or induction motors to blow (or overheat and fail) without looking like a surge.
