May 19, 20233 yr Hello guys. I recently got the following system installed: Deye 16kVa single phase inverter 18 JA Solar 545 panels 5 x Shoto sdc10 box5 batteries. My current Max Charge setting for the battery is 50A. It uses 2.65kW to charge the batteries from the panels and the rest goes to load. Can I raise the Max Charge amps to lets say 60 or 70? I am just worried that the batteries wont get to 100 coc by 18:00. The BMS says charge limit is 250A. Regards. Michael.
May 19, 20233 yr The recommended charge rate is 50A per battery, so 5 batteries can take 250A. But it also depends on your wiring, for which I assume your installer used suitable cable and fuse sizes. Your panels should be able to output a peak of around 200A, while the inverter is capable of charging from grid up to 290A. But that depends again on your house wiring and circuit breakers installed where again, I'm assuming your installer took all of that into account.
