July 31, 20233 yr hi guys! recently I connected PV to my Deye 6kw hybrid inverter. and my battery (pylontech US5000) started charging always to 100%. in Time Of Use I have 80% in all lines. from grid battery charged exact to 80%, but from solar it always charged to 100%. how can I limit battery charge level from solar? as example I want to charge my battery to 80%, but not to 100%. for now I didn't find any solution( thanks for your advice.

AFAIK the timer is meant to prevent the battery discharging to below the % typed in. That is why grid charging keeps it at the set %. PV on the other hand being at no extra cost I would say will charge to 100%. If you use voltage settings for charging and not SOC you might get the desired very rough level of charge. Never the ideal way for lithium. Just me thinking loud. Not to be taken as fact.

There is no built-in way to specify max unless you use voltages - unless you wangle something with some automations and loads Also - why do you want to limit charging to below 100%? July 31, 20233 yr You can export power and drain the battery but when the grid fails the battery will charge to 100%.
August 1, 20233 yr Author thanks a lot guys for your support! seems for now it's clear for me. 17 hours ago, mzezman said: Also - why do you want to limit charging to below 100%? because for now I don't need so much power in my battery. so I wanted to limit not only discharge level but also charge level to save battery health. but as I understood it's unnecessary. limiting of discharge level will be enough. thanks)
