BMS Information for Probenergy - YS-48-100 (W)

Hi there

My uncle has two Probenergy lithium batteries. He could not get the batteries to charge correctly.

He has a RCT Max 8k 48V inverter. I have a SolarAssistant installed now to try and get everything to work.

I am just waiting for the USB to CAN and USB to RS485 to test if they will work.

I had a hard time finding any form of documentation on the DIP switch and communication protocols, but finally found a manual ( attached below ).

Hope it helps.

Hi TheoFarm,

Many thanks for the information.

The manual photo looks different from mine and could be the later version of the Probenergy Battery they brought into SA.

That said, we have managed to get Solar Assistant working by using the Voltronic cable https://solar-assistant.io/shop/products/voltronic_rs232 with some minor pin in/out configuration changes. My installer did the modifications so I am not quite sure of the detail behind the changes.

Either way we are now up and running !!

Appreciate you sending the documentation 🙂
