inverters

Hi there. I want to know what is the DC draw (current) on a new mecer Lobo 1200va LBKS  Ups inverter . Mains power off only on inverter mode and with no output AC load. I measure 2.8amps on battery cable using a clamp meter.  Is that normal? Battery is fully charged 12v deep cycle 105aH.

I have seen a little lower from the older models that are 24V so this seem pretty normal to me. It is for this reason that I have recommended people can switch the inverter off when not needed to power a load in bypass 24/7. Self consumption is ever present on all inverters.

On a brick type pure sine 1500W it can be below 1A from 12V. Also the current tech transformerless inverters can draw very little even if 2-3kW in output.
