Mecer sol-i-ax-5m64 software

Need help i have 2 mecer inverters that i want to parallel but get 81 code. The one has 74.50 and the other 72.30 want the load same software on both but pc does not show port for inverter to select to update. What do i do?

Sorry, bad news.

The one with 72.30 is a 64 V model, but the one with 74.50 is not (a 58.4 V or maybe 62.0 V model). These have different transformer turns ratios, and hence need different firmware. It's unclear to me whether with a little effort, Voltronic could have allowed more compatibility, but they didn't.

You could split the loads (not ideal) and not parallel them. They can still share the same battery.

Or you could sell one and buy another one that IS compatible.

It's most unfortunate that the manufacturer and resellers don't make this sort of thing clear, or even whether you are getting a 64 V model or not. You can't even tell from the ratings sticker! They seem to think of the 64 V models as a sort of backwards compatible upgrade, but in fact unless you need the higher battery voltage, it's basically a huge nuisance, especially with the popularity of Pylontech and many other 15S LFP battery modules.
