Mppsolar

Featured Replies

hello. I would need help or rather a firmware update for a mppsolar pip5048GK inverter. the problem is that on cloudy days it gets stuck at 120v and doesn't produce anything anymore. with the same string of voltronic infini solar plus 3kw it loads with 9 A.

What is your current msin (U1) firmware version? There may be a patched firmware available, or one could be generated.

Unfortunately there is currently no patched firmware for your model that addresses the MPPT stuck voltage issue. I just finished a patched firmware this morning for a later model of VM III; let's see how that one works before I attempt this one.

ok, I'm waiting for good news

Sorry it's 13 months late! I happened to be doing a VM IV firmware patch tonight, and these firmwares are similar enough that I could almost copy and paste a lot of it.Plus it's so much quicker the second time around.

These are patched firmware versions x20.59 for the Axpert VM III 5.0kW, 5.2kW, 3.2kW, 3.0kW, or 1.5kW, based on factory firmware version 20.59. Do not use with any other model. This firmware attempts to work around the "stuck at 120 V" issue by implementing as many as possible of Georg594's original 90.06 patches. All patched versions fix the premature float patch (properly this time I hope), display a 5 digit firmware version from monitoring software. Use at your own risk.

Patched firmware version 220.59 sets the minimum MPPT voltage at 200V.

Patched firmware version 520.59 sets the minimum MPPT voltage at 150V.

Patched firmware version 820.59 does not implement any MPPT fixes, only fixes the premature float bug and the QVFW version number.

dsp_original_20.59 is the original unpatched factory firmware version 61.03, in case you want to revert for whatever reason.
