November 29, 20232 yr Hi after using pylontech protocol I have error F 80 in my inverter expert king ll parallel operation this error happened in each morning and each two days in the same time I know it insane to believe also I see different in time in both inverter about 8 minutes after I setting both inverter with exactly time after that couple hours I see different in time between them!! If this related? I don’t know
November 30, 20232 yr I know nothing about the King II models, but F80 suggests a problem with the parallel boards or their cables. [ Edit: But see next post for a firmware fix. ] On 2023/11/30 at 4:29 AM, Salar Hadi said: also I see different in time in both inverter about 8 minutes after I setting both inverter with exactly time after that couple hours I see different in time between them!! If this related? The King IIs are relatively recent models, so they might have firmware teething problems. There was a recent report of a clock drift that was fixed by a firmware update, I believe. So perhaps ask your supplier if there is an update available. The latest I have is 50.09 from June this year. Edited December 1, 20232 yr by Coulomb
December 1, 20232 yr Author this last update from mpp solar 5048 mkx to fix issue (f80) with pylontech (parallel opertion). 5048MKX_STANDARD_50.13-20231201T112659Z-001.zip
December 1, 20232 yr Removable display firmware version 19.16 is the same as it was back in October 2022, so the fix for this is entirely in the main (DSP, U1) firmware. Which makes sense to me. @Salar Hadi, thanks so much for the firmware update!
December 1, 20232 yr Author Yes . I agree but last update for removable display firmware on website for canbus protocol with version 2.83 really I don’t know updating again 19.16 or still with 2.83!

My understanding is that there are small but important differences in the display firmwares between King 1 and King II. So 02.83 should only ever be used for King 1 (145 V max models), and 19.16 should only be used for King IIs. Most display firmwares have one alternate model that they support; 02.xx supports the original VM IIIs (3 kW and 5 kW models), and 19.xx supports the newer VM IIIs (4 kW and 6 kW models, Twin, and possibly Duplex variants).
December 16, 20232 yr Author Hi in this a new update for expert king ll (5048 mkx) there is all time a current consumption around 1.78Amp and some time around 2.1Amp from battery this current consume from battery all time with utility or not with load or no load so my battery discharge and again charging after couple hours is this okay?! Note iam using pylontech protocol seplos bms
March 21, 20242 yr Hi, I have a Conversol V7 5kW Off-Grid Inverter which seems to be the same inverter, Axpert KING II-5000-48 & the 5048 mkx. I presently having communication issue with the batteries (Error 61). The unit is second hand and was sold due to issues with Pylon batteries again not communicating after owner updated firmware. The present firmware is U1= 70.03 U2= 19.12, would the above files rectify the error 61 code or should I be looking for a firmware nearer to the present software installed. Any advice would be grateful Regards Alan Conversol_V7_5kw_off_grid_inverter_data_sheet.pdf

Did the original owner update his battery's firmware, or the inverter's? (Presumably the inverter's display's firmware). If the problem is with the battery's BMS firmware, then I know nothing about that. 6 hours ago, alan_1969uk said: The present firmware is U1= 70.03 U2= 19.12, would the above files rectify the error 61 code or should I be looking for a firmware nearer to the present software installed. You can't update 70.xx firmware with 50.xx firmware, as there is a chipset issue. Problems with BMS communications are usually to do with the display firmware, rarely with the main firmware. 19.16 is the only firmware update that I know of in the 19.xx range, and it's dated October 2022. So it may or may not fix your problem. It's worth a try, in my opinion.

Yes the original owner updated the inverter firmware, yes I presumed display however this did not rectify the communication issue with the pylon batteries however seems to had very little change in display operation/control/protocols. This issue I have found tonight, is that I can not communicate with the inverter via RS485 with the PC, unsure if his firmware update has some way disabled the RS485 comms. Watched a lot of tube video's today and quite happy with wiring and connectors/coms ports - connection between inverter and computer however every bit of software I have downloaded fails to connect. I'm just wondering if I could flash the display via the Mini USB and pend drive - failing that I have no idea how to rectify this issue, unless replacing the controller. Again thanks for the quick response. Sunsynk inverter coming next TFFT.

March 26, 20242 yr Cheers again, Sorry typo meant RS-232 to PC. It seems that when the last owner has updated the display firmware which has disabled both the RS485 and RS232 protocols. Therefore no means of communication with the batteries or PC, no mean of updating firmware. Image the only way to rectify is to purchase a new display/controller, however presume this itself wouldn't be a quick fix. Regards Alan

There is a small chance that updating the firmware to 19.16 (a few posts back) will fix it. Worth a try.
