December 30, 20232 yr I have a normal electric geyser that I had refitted to run with solar tubes & electricity Can I switch off the electric geyser to run only on Solar??
December 31, 20232 yr Really depends on how it was installed but can't see why not and see what happens . The day will come when your area has power failure for hours to days and it would be nice to know your system produces hot water just from tubes or not.
December 31, 20232 yr How is your circulation pump powered that sends water through the solar heater? If you have a small solar panel, 50W or thereabouts like I do to power the pump, you can heat water independently of Eskom.
