January 23, 20242 yr A few weeks into familiarising with a Deye* 12K-SG04LP3-EU inverter. Looks great, packs a whole lot of punch for the price, but, oh boy, do I have a lot of questions about the software… However, would like to start with this: 1. What is the relationship between “normal” and “reconnect” settings in the “connect” dialog, plus the settings in the “IP protection” dialog? 2. Do these settings also directly affect the GEN input? 3 Related to the above is the “GEN connected to GRID input” option I read on a forum (I forget where) that this means that input conditions on the GRID input will then be relaxed to allow a generator to connect to the GRID input via a changeover. i) What are the relaxed conditions? ii) Does this mean that the same relaxed conditions are also always applied to the GEN input? -------------- For 1) here’s my best guess: “Normal” thresholds are only used when the inverter first connects to the grid eg when the inverter has been turned off and on again. Which would be rather rare occurrence? The inverter will disconnect from the grid when the thresholds in “IP protection” have been crossed. The inverter will subsequently reconnect to the grid once it falls back within the thresholds specified by the “Reconnect” figures. Is that about right? In which case, what thresholds are you using? *It's actually Jinko branded but appears to be as good as identical
January 24, 20242 yr Author Curious and suprised there is no interest in this. People with this and similar inverters (Sunsynk?) just leave it at default settings and have no troubles? Or have I worded my post badly?

Long posts with 6 different questions are not always easy to view the question and answer it. The screen on a cell is just too small. 1. These 3 sets of levels are there to be on different levels. Reconnect is normally in a tighter band than normal.
