  1. @Steve87 I agree HA is not an alternative to SA in this instance, but grateful to Sidewinder for giving a glimpse of what could be possible! SA is a cool product that does a nice job. But I'm irked that there is false advertisement. Sure, perhaps they didn't realise it at first, but after I wrote to them I would have hoped that they update their website at least with a note on the Deye etc guide that this particular feature, which I don't think is unreasonable to expect and is clearly shown on screenshots on their help page, is not yet implemented.
  2. @Sidewinder That is very cool! Maybe one day, when I have a system of my own to tinker with 😅
  3. Thanks Steve87. Solar Assistant does display the instantaneous per phase figures under the "inverter" dashboard, however it only shows total power figures and average (presumably) phase-neutral voltage on the charts. On their website there are screenshots that do show per phase voltage/power charting so I was rather disappointed when it did not work that way in reality. I wrote to support in January and they replied that it was not yet implemented and to watch the change logs. (The system, currently on software version 2023-08-16, is not mine. I don't want to trouble the owner to upgrade unless it's worth it.)
  4. Hello, wondering if anyone can confirm whether the lastest Solar Assistant software release allows viewing of charts of the individual phase voltages and powers for 3 phase Deye etc inverters? Nothing mentioned in the change logs, so not holding my breath.
  5. thanks abd7 and CobusK I should clarify that it is a Jinko 12kW 3 phase that appears to be identical to the Deye in all but name. As you will note the Deye settings do not show a "Generator Stop Capacity" setting, though evidently the Sunsynk does. So presumably this (solar assistant) setting has no effect on a Deye (?). It is not my system so unfortunately I can't do ad-hoc tests... As with many aspects of the Deye settings, I don't fully understand how the generator control works. At the moment we have the generator enabled in the "time of use" settings, so once the batteries have charged to the setting for the given time slot the generator is stopped. This is not ideal, particularly if one wants to use maximum battery capacity for solar self consumption - it means the generator will be cycling on and off as it only charges the battery a little bit, then that little bit of battery quickly gets depleted forcing gen on again etc. I'm not sure what happens if gen is disabled in "time of use", but I believe it would charge the batteries up to 100% (?). This I'm not so keen on as it is not so efficient to be charging batteries at their top SoCs. So the "generator stop capacity" was of great interest to me - it would be nice to be able to set it to say 80%.
  6. There is an option in Solar Assistant for "Generator stop capacity" - but there doesn't seem to be an equivalent setting on Solarman? Does it work? How does it work? Esp in relation to "Work mode timer" / "Time of use"?
  7. Curious and suprised there is no interest in this. People with this and similar inverters (Sunsynk?) just leave it at default settings and have no troubles? Or have I worded my post badly?
  8. A few weeks into familiarising with a Deye* 12K-SG04LP3-EU inverter. Looks great, packs a whole lot of punch for the price, but, oh boy, do I have a lot of questions about the software… However, would like to start with this: 1. What is the relationship between “normal” and “reconnect” settings in the “connect” dialog, plus the settings in the “IP protection” dialog? 2. Do these settings also directly affect the GEN input? 3 Related to the above is the “GEN connected to GRID input” option I read on a forum (I forget where) that this means that input conditions on the GRID input will then be relaxed to allow a generator to connect to the GRID input via a changeover. i) What are the relaxed conditions? ii) Does this mean that the same relaxed conditions are also always applied to the GEN input? -------------- For 1) here’s my best guess: “Normal” thresholds are only used when the inverter first connects to the grid eg when the inverter has been turned off and on again. Which would be rather rare occurrence? The inverter will disconnect from the grid when the thresholds in “IP protection” have been crossed. The inverter will subsequently reconnect to the grid once it falls back within the thresholds specified by the “Reconnect” figures. Is that about right? In which case, what thresholds are you using? *It's actually Jinko branded but appears to be as good as identical
  9. Hi, any kind soul able and willing to share a scan of the installation manual for these batteries? Jinko JKS-B4800-HI
  10. Hi, I have inherited a system with these batteries, but no documentation. Any chance you could share a scan of the user manual and/or advice on how to connect the BMS to a Jinko inverter (JKS-12K-SG04LP3-EU)? Currently inverter is not set in Lithium mode.
