January 31, 20242 yr Hi all. I have an inverter similar to Axpert Max 11kW, it worked great, but not long ago its control board (16-501444-00g) stopped working Can anyone help me find a service manual? Or where can I buy a replacement? Edited January 31, 20242 yr by sergeyshadow
February 1, 20242 yr That's not a control board, that's the removable display board. In what way has it stopped working: just no activity on the display? No LEDs? Presumably the inverter itself still works; the output on/off switch doesn't need power. There are about 3 SMD fuses under the PCB. It's possible that these have failed; sometimes that's all that is wrong, but usually not. There isn't a lot that goes wrong with the displays, so there are few posts on them. I have one here that mentions the fuses: You should be able to buy a replacement complete display from whoever sold you the inverter, and occasionally from other sources. Beware that there is firmware inside the displays, and you need a model specific to your inverter model group. There are a few groups, e.g. Axpert King and Axpert VM III are in the same group, so they have the same firmware and you can use the same display on either inverter model. They all look the same, but because of the difference in firmware, you have to get one from the right group. My understanding is that you can't reflash say Axpert King display firmware into a removable display for an Axpert Max, although I've never tried, and with advanced gear like a JTAG programmer for ARM processors, you probably could. The small cable from the display to the inverter is standard (straight through), you could try an ethernet cable to see if that cable happens to be the problem. The signals on that cable are not ethernet, it's just that any straight-through RJ-45 cable will work.

Initially, I stopped receiving data from it via rj45, but the display still worked. I tried turning it off, but after that it no longer shows signs of life. Since the power button bypasses this board, I was able to start the inverter itself. Yes, I checked the fuses you are talking about and the main voltages, but they are normal. I tried to buy a replacement from the inverter supplier, but he quoted a period of 5 months

Perhaps check for ripple with an oscilloscope; maybe a capacitor dried up and it no longer filtering the square waves from the power supply adequately. You could try paralleling the electrolytic capacitors near the power regulators with a new one (one at a time), even a through-hole one for testing. Sadly, I'm not aware of any schematics for the removable displays, or any posts that might help you figure it out. Sorry.

I think the central processor just died. But thanks for trying to help
June 11, 20241 yr Author Maybe it will be useful to someone, I bought a replacement here. https://maximumsolar.online/product/8048max-11k-max-remote-lcd-module/ You can also buy the board separately
