New system

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a new system installed just more then a month ago, and are new to this setup.

5KWA Mecer inverter, with 2x 4.8Vdc Li-ion Leoch batteries, and 12x 330W panels.

system in general really works fine.

I have 3 issues I want to run by you please.

1. When my battries are fully changed, this is usually during the day, inverter switch over to them, and just use battery power until empty. see photo.

this results in losing all the pv power for that day/time. Should this not be ballanced?

2.Battery indicator on inverter shows almost full, but then are empty on the battery display?

3. With eskom power and pv, sometimes the battries done charge, even though its needed or can as they have capacity. Something to do with the load maybe?

Is this a common issues or easily solved one with a firware upgrade maybe?

When I reset the system it run fine again for that day. tomorrow same thing.

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated?

thx

Jacques

Hi Jacques, congrats on your new system and welcome to the sun junkies club.

Can you send your inverter settings ?

1) Long press on the enter button on inverter panel, -> 00 and 3 letters eitheir Util, Sbu or Sol,

2) using the up or down buttons go through all your menu settings from the 00 above all the way to 30 or 31 and record all the value

3) Dont worry if some menu values are missing.

When done press esc button. Lets take it from there..

Jeepers...why is there a 10V difference between Input and output. Or is it normal to "float" when on batteries, even with Eskom present. But then my system doesn't behave like this.

Yea, please post your setting.
