Speedy
Tshwane has clarified that feedback is not allowed (we knew it was not, but it was a good storage). Has anyone gone through the process of applying to feed back into the grid? My rough calculations indicate that I could feed back into the grid about 10kWh/d and lets assume this is only for half a year, you could make some bucks. Not AFAIK looking at the low rate offered by Tshwane. Cost is still high but you have to do your own calculations based on what level you can generate. FransJ
I don't feel it is worth it, was considdering it, but found out the credit will only be used to offset your electricity bill. https://mybroadband.co.za/news/energy/527805-cape-town-vs-pretoria-vs-durban-best-electricity-feed-in-tariffs.html https://mybroadband.co.za/news/energy/537225-new-electricity-meters-for-pretoria.html

Based on the new price of the meter as per the link above it can make sense. Meter cost can be paid back in a short period if exporting 10kWh per day.
