Good day all. I have a kodak 5kw system. The batery is the 5.12kw.

I want to upgrade to 10kw storage atleast . Want to get rid of eskom

Will i be able to connect the 5kw batery to a 10kw batery , both kodak

10kw almost same price as 5kw.

Or should i buy 2 x 10kw en sell my 5kw

Usually it is harder to connect two batteries of different capacity. It is not impossible, but the manufacturer won't help you and if you change stuff, or get somebody to change it, your warranty is no longer worth the paper it's written on. 

So the latter option. Though that is a lot of battery. 

Think carefully about cutting the cord with Eskom. The reconnection fee will be hefty, and there will be a period of time to do it, so if you go off grid and then sell it may be a discouragement to buyers.
