October 12, 20241 yr I have 2x Sunsynk inverters with 4x fredom won 5kwh batteries as well as 20x 460 panels on the roof. So,almost totally of grid. Battery discharge limit is set to 24%. Here is the problem. Load indicated at night(while on battery) on average 1300 watt. (As per Sunsynk app). When battery SOC reaches 24% it switches to grid power as per design. All good. But. Now the load suddenly changes to average 900 watt. No change in load conditions. I’m still catching zzzzz’s. This change in load is the difference between batteries pulling through night or not. Any opinions? Screenshot of app attached
October 18, 20241 yr Just wondering if there might not be something unexpected in the data. The battery power vs load power graphs seem too close to each other during the night compared to my experience with an 8kW Deye (which is basically the same hardware). I'm used to seeing battery power being a 5-10% higher than the load (or even more when load is low). Looking at last night, load power was at 180W, battery power was around 280W on my system while we were sleeping. I'm wondering if what looks like a load difference is really a reporting difference for load between battery vs grid scenarios?
October 18, 20241 yr Possibly the CT coil that is reading a lower current value than what is actually flowing in from grid. Could be from cable extension or interference. Maybe try to turn a major non-essential appliance on and off to see what the difference is in readings inward. For example, if you turn on a 3kW geyser element, but you just register for example 2.5kW jump in loads, while all else remains equal, this might be part of the issue.
