Selecting “Lithium” for Batt Mode is mutually exclusive with “Use Batt V” and “Use Batt %” so presumably % is used for other settings? What other battery settings apply when Batt Mode is Lithium? For example are the setting for Float, Absorption, and Equalization ignored? The BMS has a voltage setting to stop discharge. The inverter setting “Shutdown” is in case you want to use a more conservative value than the BMS?

Batt % lets you allow the Inverter to measure battery consumption and report the percentage (rather than use the BMS). In my (admittedly brief) testing it seems to peg 100% at the full-battery-voltage you specify and from then measure current drawn from the battery over time and subtract it from from the battery capacity Ah you specify. It was more accurate than I was expecting when I compared to the values my own BMS provided, though BMS (lithum) mode is preferable usually.

In lithium mode, the Max Charge/Discharge A will be applied if lower than the BMS value; useful if you want to limit how hard you hit your battery to be more conservative than the BMS allows. The voltages aren't used in that mode though perhaps it makes sense to still set them in case BMS communications fail.

Shutdown, Low Batt and Restart all still apply in Lithium mode as you mention: Shutdown will shut the inverter down at the specified battery percentage (to leave you with some reserve); Restart starts it back up at the given percentage (i.e. once it starts charging again), and Low Battery is when it triggers the low-battery alarm/buzzer.

 

 

If I don’t want an alarm I should set it to or even below Shutdown? I EXPECT to hit this limit and I don’t need an alarm to let me know I have.

Yup, set Low Batt to the same value as Shutdown if you don't want the alarm; I've done this for the same reason as you.

There's also another setting in the menus to totally disable the buzzer/beeper (which would suppress low battery sounds as well) but the alert is probably useful in the event of other errors.

I turned that off since there’s usually not anyone there that could do anything about the beeping and it would just be annoying. I rely on the Deye Cloud app for any warning messages.
