November 27, 20241 yr Dear all, I know most of you are more experienced than me in setting up off-grid / battery systems. I am not sure if this post is right in here thoough it touches batteries and off-grid systems. in brief status quo: I have a set up with the mentioned Pylontech batteries, Multiplus II Inverter, CerboGX. The system usage intention is in the first step off-grid Additionally due to electricity costs from the grid my intention is to separate the grid in the late afternoon/evening (expensive times) and charge+reconnect grid after 22:00 though electricity is gettin cheap. This all shall be feasible with my setup (not realized now but not the topic in here) My intention / question: Additionally to the Pylontech batteries I have one ecoflow Delta Pro which I take with me when travelling with my RV. When not travelling, I would also use the ecoflow in addition to the Pylontechs to supply energy to my home. Are there experiences or ideas in this community how to combine? One idea I had was using the Anderson output with 30A /12,6V, transforming it to 48V and connecting it to a charger to charge the batteries. The ecoflow has an inverter built in, but I don't know how to combine with the MutliPlus II. What do you think?
January 12, 20251 yr Ecoflow doesn't have DC charging to other batteries. Also not advisable, DC to DC charging not effective due to 48 to 12 to 48 conversions, you will most likely be better off with using AC from Ecoflow Pro with 48v battery charger than trying non standard DC charging processes.
