December 14, 20241 yr Hi Guys I have a Growatt SPF 5000 ES and am trying to increase the maximum utility input, if i select Lithium batteries setting 11 just reverts back to the default_ :Default 30A, 0A~80A Settable. which is only using 0.9% of my generator capability. If someone could help that would be great. many thanks Colin

What do you wish to achieve here using the generator to charge your batteries and supply your load at the same time. Do you have pv input charging the batteries and supplying the load. If you have communication between battery and inverter the bms will dictate the charging current. If you want the generator to be uitilised fully you need to increase the load. If the inverter is set to Li that means you do have comms between battery and inverter so no use to adjust parameters in program 02 and 11 (If LI is selected in Program 5, this program can’t be set up. December 14, 20241 yr Author Hi TaliaB Yes i have PV charging the batteries and supplying the load, ideally i would want to fire up the generator at a given time during the night to topup the batteries. I Do have the BMS lead connected... so there is no way to increase the load. Thanks Colin

Do you have a transfer switch selecting between utility power and generator power on the input side of the inverter? 2. What generator are you using make petrol or diesel and generator size kva or watts. 3. How is your loads connected to the inverter is your house loads split between essential and non essential.( 2 separate AC db boards.) 4. Supply settings of your inverter work mode settings and battery setting or if possible all parameter settings) 5. Battery capacity in kwh. 6. Average load consumption during night hours.
December 15, 20241 yr Setting 11 will revert to the value in Setting 02 if Setting 02 is lower than what you are trying to input in 11. (See note in the Manual) If you are in Li mode with comms then 02 is set by the Battery BMS. Check your value in 02. If you are in US2 mode, then you can set the value in 02 to higher Amps and thus have a higher charge rate value in 11 as well Edited December 15, 20241 yr by zsde
