February 25, 20251 yr Hi all, I have a 5 star 1000w 12v inverter. Put simply, the inverter is not recognizing AC input. It uses the battery but doesn't charge or recognize AC input. The cables have been checked. No error codes, nothing. It simply does not receive AC. Could a reset or something else correct the issue or is this inverter now dead? Unfortunately I cant find this model online. Thanks
February 25, 20251 yr What did cost you? Might be cheaper and quicker to just buy another. Any idea what caused the damage? It might be worth getting surge protection fitted in your DB or at least on the input side of the inverter.
February 25, 20251 yr Author It was 3.5k. No idea what caused it, at the time there was no load shedding. Just noticed the problem when the battery ran empty.
