Sunsynk 5.32 batteries

Featured Replies

I recently had another sunsynk 5,32 kwh battery added to my installation.

installed:

8kw sunsynk inverter

2 X 5,32 kwh batteries

added another 5,32 kwh battery

The original 2 batteries has the standard sunsynk cables however the new battery has binding posts (photos attached)

The inverter is happy to use the new battery as a master and the old batteries are detected as slaves however if any of the older batteries are used as master the newer battery is not detected.

Using solar assist gives very strange temperature readings on the two older batteries but connecting to one at a time on their own gives correct readings.

Is this going to give issues in the future due to different losses at the connections?

Can these issues of odd readings in solar assist be fixed with a firmware upgrade ?

What concerns me is I have not seen this new binding post configuration on any of the sunsynk sites or manuals.

use betwen batteries shorter patchcords. short patch how you can. on long cables betwen batteries - time by time can be issues with reading or even loosing slave batteries. also inverter read only first battery bms marked by dip switches as number 1. on batteries bmses voltages will be lower than inverter show at all, inverter show his own standby voltage what he give on batteries, and bmses show their real voltages
