  1. over a month and a half for sunsynk to fix a BMS port on a 7 month old 8kw inverter. my installer was a champ and loaned me a Deye. It did the same job as the sunsynk, only difference is I use solarassist and home assist, Deye did miss a lot of the commands sent to it from solarassist.

  4. My sunsynk 8kw experienced the very same issue, had to send it to sunsynk under warranty, good luck with that as its been over a month now in their hands with no ETA. It appears as this is a common issue with sunsynk according to my installer technician.
  5. I recently had another sunsynk 5,32 kwh battery added to my installation. installed: 8kw sunsynk inverter 2 X 5,32 kwh batteries added another 5,32 kwh battery The original 2 batteries has the standard sunsynk cables however the new battery has binding posts (photos attached) The inverter is happy to use the new battery as a master and the old batteries are detected as slaves however if any of the older batteries are used as master the newer battery is not detected. Using solar assist gives very strange temperature readings on the two older batteries but connecting to one at a time on their own gives correct readings. Is this going to give issues in the future due to different losses at the connections? Can these issues of odd readings in solar assist be fixed with a firmware upgrade ? What concerns me is I have not seen this new binding post configuration on any of the sunsynk sites or manuals.
  6. issue is with SA, they informed me it will be patched in the next beta. so anyone else using sunsynk batteries on rs232 be aware
  7. Having issues since the last beta upgrade my install is a sunsynk 8 kw hybrid with 2 X 5,32 sunsynk batteries. RS485 to inverter and RS232 to the master battery. all was well until the 2024-08-27 upgrade, all readings were working on previous version and both batteries detected. symptoms are that only one battery is being reported now and all battery load readings are exactly half, it's as if the second battery is not being seen. what I've done: cycled power on UPS and batteries cycled power on the orange PI checked all connections reported the issue to solar assistant has anyone else picked up a similar issue? what temporary fixed it is to use inverter values, but this defies why I'm using solar assistant to monitor the batteries as I get (or rather got) a ton more info from them. hoping SA has a fix for this as I do not believe it's a hardware issue on my side.
