March 31, 20197 yr Well, it probably makes sense to first list the inverters that can actually operate in the same way, which I think is pretty much the Victron units, the Goodwe, and the Infinisolar. Price: Victron is the most expensive of the three. Let me be upfront about that. Expanding capacity by adding units in parallel: Only provided by Victron and Infinisolar. Remote monitoring and logging: VRM is possibly the best solution on the market for remote monitoring and even for diagnosis and support. And it is free. Interoperating with other systems: Only Victron has extensive modbus-TCP and MQTT capabilities for those who want to integrate their renewable energy setups with other systems (eg home automation, peak shaving, etc). Support: Victron support is excellent, if your problem can't be solved by the installer or the reseller it will get escalated to an R & D engineer (ie the guy who made the thing). Open source: Most non-software people might not care about this, but the protocols and much of the software is open source.
