May 31, 20251 yr HiI have 2x of above mentioned inverters that will be installed within the next two weeks.I want to find out about Wind Turbines on these.Reputable china manufacturer has two options that I am considering:1) 2KW vertical turbines which has a nominal voltage in the range of 60V. This would require their Solar charge connector and this would then directly connect straight to the battery bank. Now the inverters is connected to 3x Hubble AM5 batteries which has bms communication. If the turbine controller connects directly to the battery will this not affect the battery voltage between charging from inverter/solar vs turbine as there is now 2 sources of charging?2) Alternatively there is a 3kw turbine which has a nominal voltage of +-250V. Now this would mean I can connect it directly to the MPPT as it would be within range of accepted voltage, but I read something about phase/frequency shifting in the inverter firmware that is required, and I also dont know if it has been implemented yet and even if it would be possible. Anyone has some info regarding this?
June 13, 20251 yr @Skusku Did you ever get this working? I have a friend who's keen on hooking up a wind turbine to an off-grid Solis S6 and I'm wondering how best to incorporate it.
