Deye 8kw inverter with 2 x 5.1 CFE batteries

Featured Replies

I have a 8kw Deye Inverter and 2 x 5.1 CFE batteries. When my batteries are discharging, at times the SOC hits say 60% and then just drops to 0%. It then starts charging gets to 40% and then jumps to 100%. What would be causing this?

This is not normal, and often points to seriously unbalanced cells, or to a problem with one of the batteries... Answering the following might help:

  • How long have you had your batteries installed, and were they installed at the same time?

  • How often do you charge the batteries to 100% SoC?

  • What is your maximum charging and discharging currents set to on your inverter

  • How do these batteries communicate with your inverter?
