Yes, it could be firmware, especially display/comms (U2) firmware.

Press up or down buttons on your display until you see a page with U1 or U2 followed by 4 digits. Note both of those and post them in a reply.

If you are using monitoring software, it will have the firmware versions in there somewhere. Details vary with the monitoring software.
