Hey peeps,

EOP on 3-Phase is usually said to not work, but i suppose that is due to you sending data on P1 and expecting it on P2/P3 or some other combination. Its my understanding that if i plug it in on P2(for example) and then find another plug that is on P2 it should work?

Does anyone here understand the EOP technology? 

I have a 30m gap i need to cover from my high site to my main building and i cannot lay cat5/6 cable.

I've used it afew years back, it works but it was slow and temperamental and needed pairing often, I tossed it, in favour of wireless at the time. Maybe it's improved since.

Can you string the span?

I've used fence wire for mechanical strength with UV resistant CAT6 clipped to it, before now. 

There are tensioners that attach to the buildings.

Use this gear at one end for the electrical isolation between the buildings, (for lightning):

Ubiquiti dishes, line of sight work well . x10 was a home automation that sent signals to their equipment over the electrical infrastructure in the house but it wasn't very reliable.

how are the latencies when it comes to ubiquiti gear? i have a spare powerbeam i can use... just need another.

I can actually string it  

Great idea to isolate using fiber, lemme look into it.

I have one floating around some where too I'll have a look. There is about a 8ms ping over about 2 kms so 30m shouldn't be a hassle
