DC Distribution
So essentially .... i am not gonna be able to call everyone else noobs for still converting AC power. to DC :) .. Got it! Thanx for this. I was also mainly in the dark about how to manage the DC power.

DC Distribution
I currently have a small house/hobbyhouse, and my off-grid Victron system is in a small room that is attached to the house. I need to add some much needed lighting to the house, seeing though its a hobby house i was considering covering the ceiling with those small spotlights, then i got to think ... those are DC, and the inverters do have losses converting AC to DC, ... also ... almost any hobby device uses DC but gets converted by the power supply from AC. Could i not have a small DC distribution board to power these things directly? It all sounds fine .. but i am not sure how to handle limiting current, voltage etc. Is this even a worth while exercise? How would a DC Distribution board work / be configured? What are the risks? Anyone out there doing this? Some examples would be great if someone has done this before.

Pylontech LV HUB Configuration
Apparently the old standard US2000's do not work with US3000c's ... the 2000 Plus does however, that was the initial reason for getting the hub. All three standard US2000's has now been removed. (funny that just those 3 has swollen) I can just vaguely remember that previously when i added the batteries, i had to use VE_Configure to update the charge/discharge amps / voltage, .. for the life of me not sure if i need to adjust these now :( I am seriously considering just selling all pylontech batteries and look for more reliable batteries. I cant deal with the constant stress of losing more batteries.

Pylontech LV HUB Configuration
It's also for future expansion, so that i can easilly add more batteries throughout the years. My plan is to spot a bargain once a year and add a few extra batteries :)

Pylontech LV HUB Configuration
I wish there was an expert on this forum that could assist with these things. I used a very reputable installer, previously from these forums, but unfortunately, as mentioned, he is no longer with us. Its kinda a mess. 3 of my old US2000's started swelling, so i need to replace them with new US3000's, but i do not know who to ask to assist with installation/configuration.

Pylontech LV HUB Configuration
On my system charge voltages/current is configured on my VenusGX, i assumes that just gets offlloaded to LVHub and it then offloads to masters etc. But dont take my word for it, i are noob :)

Pylontech LV HUB Configuration
Just some feedback. I had a look at my battery stack and saw that one of the pylons was swollen. I spent the day disconnecting and re-arranging, and removing the swollen unit. After i hooked it all back and did the startup procedure the LV Hub detected the two banks correctly and i no longer have any errors. Seems like one faulty unit in a bank really messes with the LV Hub. .. also .. side note ... the reason i never saw the errors, is cause the hub never recognized the one bank with the faulty battery, so the errors never propagated through to VenuGX device.

Pylontech LV HUB Configuration
Good morning everyone. I am a little bit desperate here. Just over a year ago i had my solar system upgraded and added 4 more US3000C batteries to my system. Sadly, the person that did the install is no longer with us, and they never got around to configure my LVHub correctly. I now have: 3x US2000 - 5 years old 3x US2000 Plus - 3 years old 4x US3000C - 1year old 1x LV Hub 1x VenusGX (rest of the system is Victron Charge controllers and Victron inverters) The installer has tried on numerous occasions to come through and configure it ever since, but unfortunately to no avail, and i am worried cause after the latest visit i am receiving errors on my system which i have not before. I am also worried that these errors could be serious. I am desperately looking for someone to please assist us.

Generator suggestions
Hi There, I am about to upgrade my Victron system and as part of it i would like to add generator as well. I believe victron allows for auto starting of a generator, does anyone have suggestions on generators that is compatible? I assume at minimum it must be an electric start generator.

Muliplus 2 Inverters switches off when no internet connection
I know this is weird, but i can replicate it 100% I have my VenusXG set to connect to my dashboard on the VRM portal. Whenever i lose internet connection for approximately 15 minutes, all my Multiplus 2 intverters switches off. I have three in parallel, all connected to my VenusGX. Has anyone experienced it before?

3phase Inverter or convert to 2x Single Phase inverts
Any reason you have to convert to stick to 3 phase? You will need at least one inverter per phase, so you will need at least three inverters. From personal experience, I had three victrons to keep 3phase goin, but at the end i converter my house to single phase and i was able to use the three inverters in serie to give me more juice. Unless you have three phase equipment there is no reason to stick to 3 phase.

Solar panels connection
If possible I would split it into 2 strings of 7, then connect them in parallel at the combiner box. Also, if one panel in the series is shaded, it influences the output of the entire string. You have to however see what the max current on the MPPT is, make sure your string of 10 does not exceed this, cause it will most likely limit the output of the 10 panels, or even worse, cave in.

Anyone order from wholesale solar before
Eish, probably managed to scam a few, and now they are gone

Which power meter can handle fridge startup ?
You can use sonof without flashing tasmota https://github.com/AlexxIT/SonoffLAN I've go it running on my home assistant setup and it works quite nicely. It only connects to your ewelink account to update the names of your devices, other than that it is all offline mode

3 Phase Solar Install Advice
No, they are in series on one of the phases coming in from eskom. they other two phases i use only for property lights Cheaper - Well, if i knew from the start i was going to convert my db to single phase i would not have needed 3 inverters. I bought 3, one for each phase, but ended up only using the one phase with all three inverters on the single line. I have three phases coming into a main db on the plot, from there, it goes to each builiding, and i only converted my main house to single phase, which means i still have three phases coming onto the property, and i use three phases in my garage, but my house is just using one of those phases

3 Phase Solar Install Advice
I have 3 phases coming into my house. I added 3 Multiplus2 inverters (one on each phase), but i ended up converting my main db into single phase and ran the MP2 in series. Main reason was product lifetime. Running them in series meant there is more headroom for big spikes in usage, and if one fails i still have my other two that will pick up the slack. The initial 3 phase setup was fairly easy to configure on the MP2s, and converting it to single phase was just as simple. Personally i would stick to 1 phase, there should be no need for three phases on your house itself. It's easier to manage, and cheaper.

Should I be "exercising" my battery regularly?
Interesting ... does the exercising apply to pylontech batteries as well?
