WiSolar (company and/or products)?

Featured Replies

Hi!

First, thanks for a very interesting, educational, and occasionally entertaining forum!

2ndly - to the matter at hand.

I'm curious if anybody has any experience and/or knowledge of wisolar (wisolar. co) (the company) and/or their products?

I'm stitting with an estimate from them, but it is pretty light on component details (inspite of me asking for more info).

Thanks in advance!

Did you manage to get more info about/from them ? I am also sitting with a good looking estimate from them but cant find more info on them. Hellopeter doesnt have anything on them and Google only have good reviews. Anyone have any negative experiences ?

Unfortunately I couldn't really get much more info on/from them.

They do have (had?) some marketing vids floating in youtube.

I suspect white-label imports, that is then rebranded as "WiSolar". So what is actually inside is then anybody's guess..  but note this is semi-educated speculation on my part.

Anyway, the lack of specifics on their hardware eventually pushed me towards other options, inspite it being more expensive in the short run.

Don't hesitate to ask for help/opinions on designing your system on this forum, plenty of clever and experienced persons on here :)

Good luck!

Thx - already have a system in mind and am busy looking at quotes - but its a pain

Problems experienced so far :
1. Contact via web - no response

2. Make contact get a quote - with very few details

3. Get a more detailed quote and on closer inspection - some glaring problems (e.g. had 1 quote on a Victron Multiply 48/3000 system + 48V Dyness Lithium battery and then got quoted on a  SmartSolar MPPT 100/35 which is a 12/24V MPPT from what I can see)

4. Trying to get independent reviews/recommendations (the case for WiSolar - I am relatively ok with their quote atm even got the inverter manual(yes appears to be a rebranded Voltronic clone) and panel (CSUN)/battery(UFO) spec sheets from them)

yeah, unfortunately your experience is not unique in terms of trying to find reliable suppliers / installers...

At least it you got the first lesson down pat: don't just accept, do your own homework, double check, dig down into details!

As for "independent recommendations" - I will tell you freely rhat I am very happy so far (almost a year now) with my (minimal) Victron install, and now that I have data in hand, I will be expanding the system a bit, finances allowing.

Hmmmm 🤔 it seems Wisolar  uses different hybrid solar inverters for their installs. I called them and they said that they would launch inverters that can work without batteries in April 2020.Their system pricing seems the most attractive in the solar marketplace. However, we continue to watch
