Hi,

Could someone please assist, I would like to provide backup to my house via my axpert as well as use the solar captured during the day to power my house at night (leaving a percentage of battery incase of power outage)

I would assume that I would set to (Charge only from Solar) then also set to (Solar Battery Utility), Please could someone explain program 12 and 13 in respect to the above.

Yes, you would normally set Charge Source Priority (setting 16) to OSO (Only Solar), except when you want to top up from utility (in which case you'd switch to SNU (Solar and Utility). I have a small computer set the former at 7am and the latter at 10pm. It doesn't use the utility for charging unless the battery voltage drops below setting 12 (see below).

Setting 12 is the battery voltage below which the inverter switches to utility charging (if enabled). It has to switch the loads to utility to do this. Setting 13 is the battery voltage (or the special value FUL) where the inverter will return to battery mode (loads are supplied from the battery). These settings can only be set to whole volt values.

Note also that depending on the value of the battery low cutoff voltage setting (setting 29), the inverter may switch to line mode (utility supplies loads and charges battery) if the battery voltage drops below 2 volts more than setting 29. This is not documented.

Be aware that battery voltage is not a great way to make these decisions. It's better to use a BMV and use ICC monitoring software to switch at accurate SOC percentages. In that case, you modify the settings so that the inverter will essentially never switch on its own, so that ICC is in control.

Hi, 

I have bought an ICC and also a BMV 702, I have three Axperts tied to 12 Ominopower 240 AH (Only 200, they lie)

Could I ask you does each axpert need to connect to the ICC or can one ?

Hi @Dean

Should you have Axpert Kings, then you need a Raspberry Pi (ICC software) per Inverter. For the other Axpert inverters you only need one for the inverters in parallel.

To get a better answer it will be best to raise this question on the ICC forum group. Just search for the forum.
