June 2, 20197 yr Good evening I have an Acpert RCT 5K inverter (5kW/5kV) with 12 x 330W panels and 12x Vision HF12-890W 12V 200Ah batteries (Spec sheet attached) 1. The charging specifications are: Cycle use 14.5-14.7V Should I set PROGRAM 26 (Bulk charging voltage) to 14.5*4 = 58V? (Seems a bit high from the 56.4V default!! Standby use 13.6-13.8V Should I set PROGRAM 27 (Float charging voltage) to 13.6*4 = 54.4V? 2. Is it possible to install a BMV 702 battery monitor and link it to the Acpert inverter without the ICC software? Thanks, Gerrit HF12-890W.pdf

Though you could knock the voltage down by 0.6 V (= 30 mV/°C x 4 x 5°C) in summer, so 57.4 V. The figures quoted are for 20°C operation. You didn't give your location, so I'm guessing the battery will be at more like 25°C in summer. They will have a large thermal mass, so they'll likely sit at roughly the day's average temperature. 8 hours ago, gerritl said: Standby use 13.6-13.8V Should I set PROGRAM 27 (Float charging voltage) to 13.6*4 = 54.4V? No, though you could read the BMV with other software (a small computer like a Pi or Arduino, or a PC).
June 3, 20197 yr Author Thanks Coulomb. Appreciate the feedback once more I am in Pretoria, so summer does get hot! Gerrit Edited June 3, 20197 yr by gerritl
