Hi all

I'm looking into a small off grid system for a remote weekend farm. 

Needs are:

1. Running 1 or 2 fridges. (will be the modern low energy models)

2. Use a generator as backup to charge the batteries. 

3. Run lights when some is there. 

4. Only roof available is east/west 

5. Remote monitoring is a must.

 

At this stage i'm considering the following:

Victron multiplus II 3000Kva (can take a generator on the AC input)

3x330W canadian panels east and 3 west

Two 150/35 SmartSolar MPPT's (one east, one west)

Venus GX with a 3g router for internet. 

For a start 1xUS3000 Pylontech

 

Is this a workable option?

Definitely yes..  But i will only opt for 1 fridge on one Pylontech, depending on its consumption.
