July 4, 20197 yr So it seems VenusOS 2.32 got released 2 Jul 2019 ( see https://www.victronenergy.com/blog/2019/07/02/venus-os-v2-32-various-fixes/) Auto-update is enabled on my GX, so I got updated. So today, I see PV is not powering loads anymore. Chatted with the installer - apparently he has also picked this up, and chatted with Victron. Seems a boogled was introduced with this update. Anybody else seeing same/similiar problem after updating to 2.32? (Also,just to be clear, 2 days ago loads were being powered nicely from PV).
July 4, 20197 yr None of the fixes fixed in this bug release seems capable of causing this. So please confirm that it goes away if you revert to the previous version (and disable auto-update so it does not repeatedly try to update to 2.32), and if it can be reproduced, then ask your installer to take this up with level3 support.

July 4, 20197 yr Author Thanks @plonkster and @The Terrible Triplett. IF there is actually an issue, it might be related to specific configuration I'm running with (DVCC, BYD battery etc). I'll monitor the situation tomorrow - I'm currently traveling, so I'm hesitant to do anything drastic until I'm physically present again. Anyway, I will report back any conclusions here. Thanks again!

July 5, 20197 yr Author Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I have now (as per @plonkster's and installer' s advice) tried the following: - rolledback to v2.31 - disabled the "scheduled charging" schedules that were active Nett effect: no change. It's as if the system is stuck in "keep batteries charged" mode. So at this point I guess I can safely rule out a firmware version problem. Is there any known "weird" thing that can happen when a power failure hits and battery basically hits 0 SOC before mains/PV comes back? I would expect the system to turn off with low battery, and then just resume normal ops(with the inclusion of batteryLife etc) when either mains or pv comes back, right?

Correct, if the volts hits a certain level, inverter goes off. At least that is with lead acid. Pylons and the rest I presume the BMS will switch off. So not sure if one can see a zero SOC in the above cases as the inverter will never drain the batt 100%. Option 1: Have you switch everything off and "rebooted"? Switch inverter off - remember the AC breaker in the DB board too. Disconnect the batts and panels. Everything is off right? Switch on the batts. MPPT and VenusGX starts. Wait a minute or so that the VenusGX boots up and settles. Switch on the inverter and the AC breaker. See if it made a difference. Option 2: Using VE.Direct to USB cable and VictronConnect software. Connect to the MPPT and see if all is still as you set it. Because I once had a MPPT behaving weird. My case it was because I upgraded the firmware whilst the MPPT was running full blast. Not a good idea. Had to reset the MPPT with the VE.Direct to USB cable and VictronConnect software, reprogram it and then update the firmware. Only then did the VenusGX pick it up again.
July 5, 20197 yr Do a VE.Bus reset. It's on the Advanced menu you get if you access the Multi from the Device List. Shouldn't have to reboot anything, that ought to do it. You can even do it remotely. But you will lose power for a few seconds.
