Bonova Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 Hey guys! ive build my own solar heater and I’m using an old copper low pressure geyser as the storage. It works super well- but mounting it to work on thermosyphon alone isn’t easy (still need to keep it out of view). So I want to add a tiny solar inline pump that will turn on when the sun is out and help circulate the water. I can find a number of options at quite a price but I need the most basic system- no switches or anything. Just a pump that can connect directly to a small solar panel and circulate. Thanks for any advise! Peter Quote
DeepBass9 Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 You get small 12v DC pumps that run off a 10w solar panel that should do the trick. Clint 1 Quote

DeepBass9 Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 (edited) Google? Try TAKEALOT and the other online stores. I'm not sure who physically stocks them. https://www.sustainable.co.za/its-ts510pv-12v-dc-circulation-pump.html , I've seen them cheaper that this though. Edited October 6, 2019 by DeepBass9 Quote
Bonova Posted October 6, 2019 Author Posted October 6, 2019 Thanks. Yeah I’ve googled ALOT. but I’m not super clued up of what little motors can run on solar direct or not. The solar websites available obviously have them. But sometimes the price negates my electrical bill Quote
DeepBass9 Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 You need a nice hot shower before you go out to save the planet, so cost should not be a consideration! Quote
Clint Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Try Sanitary centre circulating pump 12v R765.90 excl panel 10 W R465.40excl. Quote
Bonova Posted October 9, 2019 Author Posted October 9, 2019 Thanks for the replies guys. I ended up finding a pump and a panel on bidorbuy for a great price. I’ll report back on how it works once I get it. Quote
